I am currently a PhD Candidate at the University of Stuttgart. My PhD Dissertation is titled "Numerical Simulation of Heat transfer in porous media with groundwater advection", which is focused on the simulation of the mechanical effects and volume change in soil due to phase change (artificial ground freezing) and minimizing these effects by optimising the design through machine learning approaches.
I have also worked on several other projects including "Validate Frost", funded by the PTKA to determine the minimum inlet temperatures to prevent frost damage in borehole heat exchangers, more information about the project can be found here (in German).
Before starting my PhD research, I obtained a Master's degree in Water Resources Engineering and Management (with a special focus on Data Analytics) from the University of Stuttgart, and a Bachelor's of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Heriot-Watt University.
